Day 5

Breakfast

-Regular old fashioned oatmeal (zero sodium content) with brown sugar and 2 teaspoons of unsalted/dairy free Fleischmann's margarine
-Fresh sliced strawberry/ green grape fruit cup
-Low sugar apple juice

Lunch

-Matzos (zero sodium) crackers with natural peanut butter (see Day 1 entry for peanut butter product used)
-1/2 c. Bear Naked Natural Granola with added home toasted pecans and dried cranberries
-Fresh green grapes
-Diet Coke

Snack

-Fresh fruit
-Home toasted nuts


Dinner

-Roasted tomato and basil pesto pasta  (click for recipe- used non-iodized salt) While recipe was not our favorite during the LID, my husband still seemed to enjoy it.
-Haagen-Dazs Orchard Peach Sorbet- dessert
-Water

  2. Why diet cola & apple juice so often? I thought sodas of any kind had tons of sugar & salt. I don't drink any diet sodas. Other suggestions? I just started the lid today. So no soy products as well? Thank you for the recipes & list of grocery items. Bless you.
