Breakfast
-Bear Naked Pure & Natural Granola- fruit and nut
-Apple Juice

Lunch
-Pumpkin and black bean soup (see earlier entry for recipe link)
-Toasted slice of Ezekiel bread
-Water
-Cup of Lemon Sorbet for dessert

Snack
-Banana
-Kettle potato chips (see photo below- zero sodium)

-Homemade LID Snack Bar. Find the recipe by clicking HERE.  This is a LID version of rice krispy treats.  I made it in the microwave- Place the non-dairy/non-sodium butter in a large microwave safe bowl.  Top with the marshmallows.  Microwave for 2 minutes---note the marshmallows will triple in size during the cooking period- make sure your bowl is LARGE and that you handle with care when removing from microwave. Stir in the LID approved peanut butter and then stir in the cereal- and place in 9x13" dish- cool and cut.  I used Kashi 7 whole grain Puffs cereal- zero sodium (see photo below).


Dinner


-Mixed salad greens with tomato, yellow peppers and carrots.  Made balsamic dressing with olive oil, balsamic vinegar, garlic, mustard seeds and dried Italian herbs. Processed in Magic Bullet to make emulsion.
-Homemade spaghetti sauce with ground beef, onions, garlic, dried Italian herbs, no salt canned tomatoes and no salt tomato paste, splash of white wine and fresh basil. Used Kosher salt and fresh pepper.
-Water

New Products Used Today

Zero sodium; 18 g whole grains; zero sugar.  Used as cereal for the LID Homemade Snack Bar recipe.
